Introduction
“Moving” is a captivating short dance film set in the heart of Hong Kong, a city where modern skyscrapers blend seamlessly with ancient traditions and where over 7 million people navigate the intricacies of urban life in tightly packed spaces. Claire Lim, a local Hong Kong resident, embarks on a transformative journey through dance, attempting to find moments of stillness in the relentless pace of the city that never sleeps. As the urban tapestry unfolds around her, Claire seeks to slow down time, escape the relentless cacophony of everyday life, and harmoniously synchronize her tranquil mind with her agile body, all set against the vibrant and ever-stimulating backdrop of Hong Kong. This film not only showcases the art of movement but also reflects the city’s unique ability to be both chaotic and serene in the same breath.
